Hyperspectral imaging through scattering layers with incoherent light

چکیده

The scattering of multispectral incoherent light is a common and unfavorable signal scrambling in natural scenes. However, the blurred spot due to still holds lots information remaining be explored. Former methods failed recover polarized hyperspectral from scattered or relied on additional dispersion elements. Here we put forward transmission matrix (TM) approach for extended objects under illumination by speculating unknown TM through experimentally calibrated digitally emulated ways. Employing fiber bundle as powerful imaging element, spatial 252 polarized-spectral channels single speckle, thus achieving single-shot, high-resolution, broadband two polarization states with cheap, compact, fiber-bundle-only system. Based principle itself, our method not only greatly improves robustness retrieve input spectral information, but also reveals feasibility explore spatio-spectral blurry speckles help simple optical setups.

Incoherent subharmonic light scattering in isotropic media.

Incoherent subharmonic light scattering in isotropic media is a new kind of nonlinear light scattering, which involves single input photon and multiple output photons of equal frequency. We investigate theoretically the dependence of the subharmonic scattering intensity on the hyperpolarizability of molecules and the incident intensity using nonlinear optics theory similar to that used for Hype...

Scattered light fluorescence microscopy: imaging through turbid layers.

A major limitation of any type of microscope is the penetration depth in turbid tissue. Here, we demonstrate a fundamentally novel kind of fluorescence microscope that images through optically thick turbid layers. The microscope uses scattered light, rather than light propagating along a straight path, for imaging with subwavelength resolution. Our method uses constructive interference to focus...

Hyperspectral imaging with stimulated Raman scattering by chirped femtosecond lasers.

Raman microscopy is a quantitative, label-free, and noninvasive optical imaging technique for studying inhomogeneous systems. However, the feebleness of Raman scattering significantly limits the use of Raman microscopy to low time resolutions and primarily static samples. Recent developments in narrowband stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy have significantly increased the acquisition ...

Incoherent holographic imaging through thin turbulent media

We introduce and experimentally demonstrate a new method of computing Fresnel holograms of a realexisting, three-dimensional (3-D) scene hidden behind a thin turbulent medium, and illuminated by incoherent white light. From each perspective point of view, we acquire multiple noisy speckled images through the medium vibrated mechanically. These images are fused together to yield a smoothed persp...
